Bonnie ‘ Prince’ Billy is an American singer, songwriter and actor with a voice that has been described as “fragile sort of warble, frittering around haunted melodies in the American folk or country tradition.” His music has been likened to Americana, folk roots, country, punk and indie rock. Bitchin’ Bajas began as a solo project of Cooper Crain, guitarist of Chicago Krautrock revivalists Cave. Adding Mahjongg’s Dan Quinlivan and the Cave’s Rob Frye, the band blended meditative synth exploration with psychedelic guitar tones, channeling the Robert Fripp and Brian Eno’s collaborations. Avant-garde Bill MacKay has emerged as a highly inventive composer-songwriter and a versatile, unpredictable guitarist. Together, these guys share a passion for arresting the moment in the process of now, and all of ‘em get music from this action in their own ways.
