Catholic Health Offers Program on Treating Heartburn
Frequent acid reflux and heartburn can not only be painful, but can be a sign you have GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Acid suppressing drugs sometimes help, but advancements in medicine have led to the development other treatment options too.
Catholic Health is sponsoring a community program, “New Advancements in the Treatment of Heartburn” on Wednesday, March 27, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Millennium Hotel, 2040 Walden Avenue, Buffalo.
Join host, Kevin O’Connell, and surgeon, Kenneth Eckhert, MD, for dinner and a discussion on relieving severe heartburn. Dr. Eckhert will review a full range of treatment options to help make you more comfortable, including the new minimally invasive, LINX ® Reflux Management System, a highly effective outpatient procedure that controls acid reflux without medication.
“New Advancements in the Treatment of Heartburn” is open to the public. Guests are invited to attend one free community program per calendar year. After that, the cost is $20 and includes a meal.
