Trumpet Master Clay Jenkins is the guest artist for the Bill Staebell Retirement Reception. Mr. Jenkins has an impressive resume’ of accompanying jazz artists such as Stan Kenton, Milt Jackson, Ray Brown, Kurt Elling and Diana Krall. Beloved Iroquois High School teacher and conductor Bill Staebell is retiring at the end of June and as a tribute to his legacy, a special all star collection of local jazz performers will accompany the Bill Staebell Quintet. The band’s members include Bobby Militello (saxes and flute), Clay Jenkins (trumpet), Bobby Jones (piano), John Bacon Jr. (drums) and of course Bill Staebell on acoustic stand-up bass. Head out to Hamburg and see a world class jazz quintet tribute a local jazz legend and educator.
