Deniece Williams is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. She is known for such hits as “Free”, “It’s Gonna Take A Miracle”, “Let’s Hear It For The Boy” and her duet with Johnny Mathis “Too Much, Too Little, Too Late.” “Too Much, Too Little, Too Late” and “Lets Hear It For The Boy” both reached number one on the Billboard Charts. Williams sang with Mathis on another duet recording the popular TV theme for the hit sitcom “Family Ties.” She has been a back-up singer for Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Earth, Wind and Fire (The crème de la crème of soul singers). In the Eighties, Deniece took her four octave range and considerable soprano chops to record several Gospel records bringing her three Grammy Awards for best Gospel song and albums.
