Dweezil Zappa is the son of Jazz/Rock icon Frank Zappa. Exposed to the music industry at an early age, Dweezil learned his trade from rock guitarist icons Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen. This year Zappa is on tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention incredible debut album “Freak Out.” The tour is called “50 years of Frank: Dweezil Zappa Plays Whatever the F@ck He Wants- The Cease and Desist Tour.”Dweezil will tribute his dad by playing a Gibson Roxy SG (a replica of the guitar Frank Zappa used on tour and in the studio). Obviously the acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree. Kudos to Canalside for bringing interesting and unique free concerts to the Queen City.
