First Look Buffalo Theatre Company, Buffalo’s home for new play development, is holding auditions for membership to our acting ensemble Monday May 13th starting at 6pm. The auditions will be held at Saint Mary’s High School, 142 Laverack Ave, Lancaster NY 14086.

Actors will have 5 minutes to do whatever they want. One long monologue, two short monologues, a monologue and a song (acapella), or team up with another actor who wants to audition and do a scene. IT’S YOUR AUDITION! DO WHAT EVER SHOWS YOU OFF BEST!

This is not a “general audition”. This is for membership for our acting ensemble. To become a Company Member with First Look Buffalo Theatre Company. We are looking for experienced actors only, who strongly support our mission statement to develop and produce new plays. We are seeking actors, who appreciate the opportunity to work with professional playwrights, both local and from across the country, helping them develop their work. We strongly encourage actors of all backgrounds to audition.

Ensemble members receive priority casting for our main stage shows, and a guaranteed role in our annual one-act festival. They also have the chance to participate in the development of new plays and our annual NEW PLAY READING FESTIVAL.

First Look Buffalo Theatre Company requires our ensemble members to attend our shows (comped), our annual live fundraiser, and invite others to attend and help market as well.

Please only audition if you are ok with these requirements.

Our next season will be performed at The Canterbury Woods Performing Arts Center in Williamsville and at a theatre TBD in the city of Buffalo.
