WHY: February is National Heart Health Awareness Month Proceeds to AHA WNY
If you’re looking for a great way to spend time with your friends and family indoors this winter, come to the Healthy-Living Healthy-You Wellness event on Saturday, February 23, 2019 taking place at the Boulevard Mall in Amherst from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The mall will be transformed to accommodate the Healthy Living Healthy You, making entry through any mall location accessible to the event highlights.
Healthy-Living Healthy-You will feature local wellness organizations, vendors, free blood pressure screenings, flu shots, mobile mammography, mini-massages, give-a-ways, and more.
Activities Include: Meet Buffalo Sabres Alumni Pat Kaleta and Buffalo Bills Alumni Donald Jones who will be on hand for signings. National award-winning hula-hooper and entertainer Benjamin Berry will feature a hula-hooping demonstration onstage. Other demonstrations will include Taoist Tai Chi, External Counter Pulsation heart therapy, and the kids will love the opportunity to play, compliments of Explore and More, while getting to know children’s book author Dee Romito. Fair goers can also sample some of Buffalo’s great cuisine from onsite local food trucks.
Participating Organizations include: Aetna Healthcare, AG Group, Alpine Made, American Lung Association, Bootleg Bucha, Brain/Body/Health Institute, Breast Cancer Network, Buffalo Gal Organic, Buffalo Holistic Center, Cardea Health, Sterling Heart Care, Trocaire College, UNYTS, Windsong Radiology, WellCare, and more.
