Gary Mallaber, Tony Galla, and Jimmy Calire are the last surviving members of one of the greatest rock/blues bands ever to come out of Buffalo called Raven. George Harrison tried to sign them to Apple Records but the band decided to sign with Columbia Records. After Raven broke up, the three members went their separate ways and found success. Lead singer Tony Galla is master of several diverse syles of singing, blues, rock, big band and even Italian opera. Drummer Gary Mallaber performed and record with Van Morrison, John Lennon, The Beach Boys, Steve Miller, Peter Frampton and Bruce Springsteen. Keyboardist/saxophonist Jimmy Calire recorded with his own trio and a lengthy stint with the rock band America. The three are back home reunited for three shows at the Sportsmen, just as they did for two sell-out shows at the Sportsmen Tavern in 2015.
