Ghost is a Heavy Metal band from Sweden formed in 2008. Ghost is easily recognizable because of its eccentric on-stage presence. Fve of the group’s members wear identical face-concealing costumes. The most distinguishable member is the vocalist, who calls himself Papa Emeritus. He wears a prosthetic face with skull face paint. The band members are known as the Nameless Ghouls and their real names have not been publicly disclosed. Ghost’s Satanic theme has caused their albums to be banned from major chain stores, most late night TV shows and most commercial radio stations despite winning the Grammy Award in 2016 for Best Heavy Metal Performance. One of the Nameless Ghouls said “So, yes, mainstream America is absolutely welcoming us with open legs.” Wow!
