Irish Classical Theatre presents Fireside with Vincent O’Neill: Celtic Connections
The Irish Classical Theater founder and Artistic Director Vincent O’Neill is video hosting three fireside readings of writers from his homeland in the hopes you will relax and reflect on the brilliance of these Irish poets. Here are the first two readings.
In the first one we celebrates Dublin, the epicenter of Irish culture, in this collection poems read by ICTC Artistic Director Vincent O’Neill. They include “Dublin Made Me” by Donagh MacDonagh; “I Hear An Army Charging Upon The Land” by James Joyce; and “If Ever You Go To Dublin Town” by Patrick Kavanagh.
The Irish Classical Theatre Company continues its literary tour, traveling from Dublin, south to Kerry and north to Belfast, to explore the brilliant works of Irish poets. This collection of poems, read by ICTC Artistic Director Vincent O’Neill, includes “To No One” and “Poem from a Three Year Old” by Brendan Kennelly; “The Ballad of William Bloat” by Raymond Calvert; and “Labasheedy” by Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill.
