The Jakob’s Ferry Stragglers are an Americana band drawing freely from bluegrass, country, jazz, rockabilly and swing styles to create their tight, high-energy string band music. The band features “Blistering guitar riffs and hammer blow fiddle licks blending with sublime vocals and stirring harmonies, this is not a band to be missed or trifled with” says Adam Gerschwindner, Appalachian Jamwich. The band has recently toured and showcased their unique and innovated style of Roots Music from California to Virginia. Band members include Gary Antol(guitar, vocals, mandolin), Libby Eddy(fiddle, vocals), Joe Depp(banjo) and Ed Croft(upright bass and vocals). Lovely fiddle player Libby Eddy won the Maryland State Fiddle Contest at the age of 15. Authentic Bluegrass and Roots music in the heart of Allentown is alive at Nietzsche’s.
