One of rock music’s most distinctive voices, Mellencamp with his raw-edged, high-energy voice and persona was one of the biggest stars of the 80’s. His album, “Scarecrow” was named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the best albums of the decade. Mellencamp joined forces with Neil Young and Willie Nelson to launch Farm Aid in 1985. Carlene Carter is the daughter of June Carter and the stepdaughter of country icon, Johnny Cash. Carter opens the show with a passionate performance featuring songs from her latest album, “Carter Girl.”
