Marsha McWilson wins Female Artist of the Year Award
Singer Marsha McWilson recently won “Female Artist of the Year” from Buffalo’s Power 96.5FM and the Black Music Month Conference Awards (BMMCA).
“This is such a blessing,” says McWilson. “I did not think I was going to win. I’m so shocked.”
The Niagara Falls-based singer has made numerous appearances locally over the years, including recent multi-concert stints at the Seneca Niagara Casino. McWilson has also sang at The Buffalo Niagara Blues Festival, The Glen Park Art Festival, aboard the USS Little Rock at Buffalo’s Naval & Military Park near Canalside, and at many other regional events and venues. She’s also known for singing aboard Tom Joyner’s annual Caribbean cruise.
