Come learn about and enjoy the Mexican holiday of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in Medina on Thursday, November 1 from 3:00-8:00 pm.  Medina Main St. businesses will host crafts and tastings from 3:00-5:30 pm, including paper flowers, masks, face painting, sugar skulls, cookies, bread and a story hour.  A celebration follows from 6:00-8:00 pm one block away at 127 West Center St., at the farmer’s market site.  Activities (under a big tent!) include live mariachi music, dancing, traditional Mexican food and arts displays.  Bring a photo or memento to remember your loved one and help decorate the community ofrenda.
This family-friendly event is co-sponsored by Mariachi de Oro Restaurant, the Medina Business Association, and GO ART!.   Visit www.MedinaDoD.com  for full schedule of crafts workshops and more information about the Day of the Dead.  Phone: 585-343-9313.  This event is and made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the NYS Legislature.
