Michael McDonald’s soulful baritone voice is one of the most distinctive voices in Rock and Pop history. His musical career spans more than forty years including seven years with the Doobie Brothers and collaborations with Steely Dan, Van Halen, Patti La Belle, Aretha Franklin, Kenny Loggins, James Ingram and Toto. His solo career has been equally successful and he has won five Grammy Awards. America is a folk rock band formed in 1970 and continues to record material and tour with regularity. America has won a Grammy for best new artist, has been inducted in the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Their song “A Horse with No Name’ continues to be one of the most played songs on the radio.
