The Nighthawks are anamerican Blues and Roots music band and they celebrate forty-plus years in the music business with a back porch party that features the guys in the studio to record. Coming up in the Washington, D.C. Folk Blues scene, the Nighthawks have spent a lifetime playing songs that honor Blues and Rock ‘n’ Roll. They have performed with many blues stars such as Warren Haynes, Bob Margolin and the legendary Muddy Waters sideman, pianist Pinetop Perkins. The band sets the bar for the players sitting on the steps, straddling the rails or wandering in the backyard as they promise to “Rock This House.” The group continues to head for cover as they pick notes and follow a mean bass line into the Wire theme song “Down in the Hole” on their back porch party.
