There are a lot of great places for Buffalonians to celebrate Oktoberfest in Buffalo’s Riverside/Black Rock neighborhoods and the Polish Cadets is one of the best. There will be live German and Polish Music featuring the Award Winning Polka Band, The Buffalo Touch! Herr Corky and Frau Wendy are very excited that they are coming for a visit to the Cadets! The Touch has been nominated 3 times for a Grammy for Best Polka Album! According to der herr und die frau “This is one event you will not want to miss!”
The Polish Cadets 4th Annual Oktoberfest begins at 4 pm with the blessing and keg tapping ceremony out in front of the Cadets followed by free Oktoberfest and German beer tastings with paid admission until 6…. Then the party will really take off when the Grammy nominated band, The Buffalo Touch start playing at 6 pm. Money might get you Bier und Schnitzel, but watching people dance after drinking for a few hours is priceless!
The kitchen will be ready to go at 4 pm so you can bring along your appetite! Also fun to watch is everyone working out their arms for the Stein holding competition at 8 pm and amazingly enough it’s sometimes won by petite women who could also toss around their husbands on the dance floor. And if you choose to wear Lederhosen or Dirndl you might win a prize for that also…winner selected at 9 pm… Ein Prosit!
