TASTE OF BUFFALO PRESENTED BY TOPS ANNOUNCES 2019 SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR FOODSERVICE AND HOSPITALITY STUDENTS

The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops is now accepting applications for its annual scholarship program to support Western New York-area high school seniors aspiring to careers in the foodservice and hospitality industries. This year’s program will award five recipients with a $1,000 scholarship to be applied toward their college educations.
“As food festival that is a non-profit organization, we feel it is important to help support the next
generation of chefs and hospitality executives,” said 2019 Taste of Buffalo Chair Matthew Testa.
“Since we started this scholarship program in 1997, the Taste of Buffalo and its partners have
awarded more than $87,000 to help students in these fields.”
To be eligible for any of the above scholarships, students must be residents of Erie, Niagara,
Orleans, Wyoming, Genesee, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, or Allegany counties and have
enrolled in a two- or four-year college in a foodservice or hospitality degree program. For

The application deadline is Friday, April 12, 2019. Selected recipients will be notified no later than May 1, 2019.
