Todd Rundgren is an American multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and record producer. Hailed in the early stages of his career for both his own material and for his production of other artists, supported by the certified gold double LP Something/Anything? in 1972. His career has been recorded as a solo artist and with the group Utopia. His best known songs include the 1972 singles “Hello It’s Me” and “I Saw the Light” which have had a heavy rotation on classic rock radio stations. During the 70’s and 80’s he engineered and/or produced albums for The Band, Badfinger, Grand Funk Railroad, The New York Dolls, Hall & Oates and XTC.
