WINTERFEST RETURNS TO CHESTNUT RIDGE PARK

Popular winter event to be held Sunday, January 27; free fun for families

 

ERIE COUNTY, NY— The Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry has announced the return of Winterfest to Chestnut Ridge Park this Sunday, January 27 from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The free family fun event will offer sledding, a snow sculpting competition with prizes awarded for the cutest, funniest and most original compositions, and marshmallow roasting as well as chainsaw carving demonstrations, arts and crafts, a monster mural and more.

Hay rides will be available from 12 -3 ($5 for adults, $3 for children) and magic shows will take place at 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM. Concessions will also be available in the Casino during the event.

Winterfest 2019 is brought to you by the Erie County Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department in conjunction with Orchard Park Recreation. The event is additionally supported by Towne Auto, the Chestnut Ridge Conservancy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Hillcrest Volunteer Fire, WBEN 930 AM, Erie County Legislator John Mills, and Orchard Fresh Markets.
