Allentown/ KCA WNY Re-Tree Planting needs your help next Saturday

The City of Buffalo, ReTree WNY, the Allentown Association, and other local block clubs and neighborhood associations have been provided another opportunity to make a long term difference in the look of their neighborhoods this Spring with the annual ReTree planting day, coming up this weekend on National Arbor Day!  Please join us once again!

When:  Saturday, April 27th, 2024, 10:00am to approx. 12:00 noon
Where:  Meet at the side steps of 1st Presbyterian Church, 90 Wadsworth Street, Buffalo, NY 14201
What we want your help with:  Planting 10 bare root trees (10-15lbs) in the City’s right of way next to the sidewalks on our neighborhood streets
Bring:  shovel and sledge hammer if you have either one., wheel barrow and/ or broom/ rake preferred as well but not necessary
Wear:  Cool weather clothing, gloves for digging, boots or durable closed toe shoes.
We’ll provide: Hot coffee, and Tim Horton Timbits.  Oh yeah, and the trees will be in large plastic bags ready to be walked to their plating spots.
