Brian Wheat and Groggy Darlin'

Local modern folkie Brian Wheat celebrates the release of his latest effort with his band Groggy Darlin’ by performing two shows on Saturday (March 10). The first will be an in-store performance at New World Record at 4:30pm, followed by the big show later that night at Soundlab at 9pm. Also perfoming is special guest Rachel Ries, who lends backup vocals on Wheat’s new album Where You Have Been. Recorded in Orchard Park at Harvest Sum Studios, Wheat and company deliver a collection of songs that are lyrically rich and musically mature, and the CD itself has cool packaging courtesy of Shelly Bronson of Buffalo’s French Press. Of course, the CD will be on sale at both shows.
