The Remus Lupins

While “Wizard Rock” is not a completely new genre, bands have practically been crawling out of the woodwork since the release of J.K. Rowling’s latest (and purportedly last) book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. Bands with names like Draco and the Malfoys, the Whomping Willows and, of course, Harry and the Potters have been touring like never before, with songs titled “Voldemort Can’t Stop the Rock!” and “Dumbledore’s Army.” This Wednesday (July 1) California-based Wiz rockers the Remus Lupins will give a free all-ages concert at the Amherst Museum beginning at 6pm. The band’s motto? “Fight Evil, Read Books.” Doors open at 5:30pm, and parents are encouraged to attend.
