Another big musical night is in store for music lovers at the Sportsmen’s Tavern on Saturday, May 25, where the new band Too Yacht to Handle will present their debut performance from 9 to 11 p. m.
And to add even more to the occasion will be the opening act that will include two of the four members of SoleTurn that sold out the Sportsmen’s Tavern on March 23 and will be a part of a group of talented musicians that will be part of the show on May 25.
That opening act will include Matt Young on piano, Cave Wilson on drums, Vik Bhargava lead vocalist of SoleTurn, and SoleTurn’s Zachary Michael backing vocals and bass. The presentation will include a set of ‘80s songs Unplugged, an acoustic set with all of the talented musicians taking part.
Scott Celani’s new band Too Yacht to Handle will headline the night and he invited other musicians to perform in what promises to be a terrific night of entertainment and another feather in the cap of the legendary Sportsmen’s Tavern on Amherst St., in Buffalo.
Yacht music, as it is called, has enjoyed a huge resurgence recently featuring soft rock and A&M Gold from the ‘70s and ‘80s, and Scott said that resurgence will be on full display at Sportsmen’s on May 25 in what is expected to be a packed house.
SoleTurn’s Vik Bhargava says he was honored and more than happy to be a part of the night with super talented Scott’s new group who have been making great music and selling out show after show for years.
Scott Celani, a Buffalo music Hall of Fame member, says “we’re really pumped up about this new project and we can’t wait to set sail with you, specializing in 70s gold and smooth yacht rock.” May 25 at Sportsmen’s will be the night to set sail with the new group.
