Ashton Jeanty left Las Vegas Raiders training camp practice Sunday afternoon unable to put any weight on his right leg after landing awkwardly while diving for a low pass thrown by quarterback Kirk Cousins during 11-on-11 drills.

Trainers helped him off the field. The entire Raiders team immediately took a knee and stayed in silence for a moment before finishing practice. It was not a good scene.

Jeanty, 21, is the centerpiece of the Raiders' offense, the sixth overall pick in the 2025 draft who rushed for 975 yards and caught 55 passes for 346 yards in his rookie year, totaling 10 touchdowns and more than 1,300 yards from scrimmage with one of the league's worst offenses around him.

He was expected to be even more important in Year 2 with rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza leaning on the run game while he develops.

The Raiders have not disclosed the severity of the injury.

ESPN's Ryan McFadden reported it appears to be a right knee injury. Rookie fourth-round pick Mike Washington Jr., who had been splitting first-team reps with Jeanty and has had a strong camp, took over the remaining reps. The team opens September 14 against the Broncos.
