Enes Kanter Freedom Ejected From WNBA Game After Natasha Cloud Confronts Him

Enes Kanter Freedom attended Sunday's Indiana Fever-Chicago Sky game at Wintrust Arena in Chicago wearing a black T-shirt that read "WOMAN noun. adult human female," joining a small rally in support of Fever guard Sophie Cunningham outside the arena before tipoff.

He then took his courtside seat and cheered for the Fever throughout the game without incident, per witnesses in his row.

Late in the third quarter, with the Fever leading 81-75, Cloud scored inside, did a chest bump with a teammate and then turned and walked directly toward Kanter, pointing and yelling. Kanter stood, held his arms out and took one step toward the court before security and Sky players moved between them.

A game official ejected Kanter from the arena. Security escorted him out. Cloud did not speak to media after the game but posted on social media: "To every trans kid/person, you are a part of MY community and tribe. You belong. You're loved. You're seen."

Kanter posted after: "I just got kicked out of a WNBA game for supporting WOMEN! Let that sink in, AMERICA!" Cloud's coach Dustin Marsh said he told her she was not a distraction:

"I told her that we all embrace her as someone that protects our team and protects people that need to be protected." The Fever won 113-90.
