Ja'Quinden Jackson Released From Hospital After Being Stretchered Off The Eagles-Patriots Game

Philadelphia Eagles running back Ja'Quinden Jackson went motionless on the turf at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night's opening kickoff of the Eagles-Patriots preseason game, taking a knee to the head while making a tackle on New England returner Lan Larison. The game stopped for several minutes.

Both sidelines took a knee. The entire Eagles team walked onto the field as trainers placed Jackson on a backboard, strapped him to a stretcher and loaded him into an ambulance.

Then came the good news. The Eagles announced before the game resumed that Jackson had strength and movement in all four extremities. His agent Damien Butler confirmed his CT scan came back negative and that Jackson was awake and alert.

"Tonight, above all else, we thank God that Ja'Quinden is doing well," Butler said. He was released from the hospital Saturday night and rejoined his teammates for the flight back to Philadelphia. He gave a thumbs up as he was loaded into the ambulance.

Jackson, 24, went undrafted in 2025 after four seasons at Utah and Arkansas, spent last year on Jacksonville's practice squad and signed with the Eagles this August while competing for a roster spot.

He had never recorded a regular-season NFL touch. Saturday night will be something he and everyone in that stadium remembers regardless.
