Terrance Ferguson Catches Six Passes For A Touchdown In The Rams' Blowout Win
Terrance Ferguson had the best game of his young NFL career Monday night at SoFi Stadium, catching six of nine targets for 54 yards and a fifth-quarter touchdown in the Rams' 28-6 blowout of the New York Giants, stepping into a larger role with Puka Nacua sidelined by a hip injury.
The 6-foot-5 second-year tight end from Oregon, the Rams' second-round pick in 2025, drew just one target all of Week 1 in Melbourne against the 49ers. Monday he was Matthew Stafford's most targeted player aside from Davante Adams, who drew 10 targets and went nuclear for 195 yards and two touchdowns.
Ferguson's nine targets were the second-most on the team and his five-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter closed out the scoring.
He dropped two catchable balls, including one that hit him in the hands, but the overall line was the kind of performance that makes fantasy managers scramble, and the kind that comes with an asterisk.
Once Nacua returns to the lineup, the Rams will likely return to lighter tight end personnel, compressing Ferguson's target volume. For now, he is the beneficiary of a wide receiver room operating without its best player and making the most of it.
