Dear Mayor Brown,

We write to thank you for the letter you sent to Governor Andrew Cuomo requesting he delay the demolitions of the properties on Busti Avenue.

We agree with your assertion that the PBA’s lack of transparency is disturbing. Our organizations are concerned about the West Side’s asthma epidemic and are interested in maintaining and restoring the neighborhood. The Peace Bridge Authorities recent actions threaten to worsen a public health crisis and destroy the fabric of this historic neighborhood.

Our organizations are deeply committed to making Buffalo a healthy, sustainable and just place to live, work, and play. We appreciate you taking a strong stand on this important issue. We look forward to working with your office in the future to make the West Side and the City of Buffalo a healthy and vibrant place to live.
