College For Inmates
by Jay Tillotson
Isn’t the real issue the number and percentage of people that this country and state arrest and imprison every year?
Statistically we imprison more than any other country. I believe we have the highest number of inmates in the world. We affect the abilility of a high percentage of young people to borrow money and attend universities with these charges and convictions.
Where is Cuomo on reforming the Rockefeller drug laws or any of the laws which always call for prison sentences and sometimes mandatory minimums? The news media is being manipulated by the politicians who are deflecting away from the real issues. This issue only a small part of a huge problem that no one is talking about.
