Who Purchased Hunter Biden’s Paintings For $1.5 Million?

After struggling with drug addiction for years, and being embroiled in one of the most brutally revealing and public political fights in American history, Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden is turning to art. Over the last several years, Hunter Biden has been making a name for himself in the New York art industry as a painter, selling his paintings to a collection of buyers, and raking in serious money.

In January of 2024, it was reported that Hunter Biden sold a collection of his paintings to a total of ten buyers for the alleged amount of $1.5 Million. The President’s son even hosted a New York Art Gallery back in 2021, with the event being called, “The Journey Home.”

It’s important to recognize that Hunter Biden has achieved a near-miracle level of monetary success, as most painters struggle to earn even four-figure earnings for their individual paintings upon beginning their career in art. We know that one individual, who we will discuss more in detail below, purchased 11 of Hunter Biden’s paintings for a total of $875,000. That total makes Hunter’s individual paintings worth an estimated $79,545.45 per piece, a remarkable figure for an individual with no prior experience in art. Could Hunter Biden have been a ‘Rembrandt’ in disguise, simply waiting for the opportunity to apply himself fully into this art form?

Famous Artist’s Best Paintings

We know that another individual, who also will be discussed in detail below, purchased two pieces of Hunter Biden’s artwork for a net total of $94,000. Few artists, if any, have achieved this level of monetary success this early in their careers. A truly remarkable accomplishment.

Some have alleged that Hunter Biden’s art dealings are nothing more than political influence-peddling, while other suggest that art has become Hunter’s avenue to outgrow the shadow of his father, which has loomed over the entirety of Hunter Biden’s life.

Knowing that Biden entered the field with a certain level of celebrity, we decided to examine the art sales of some other notable celebrities. A prime example of a comparable artist would be Sylvester Stallone, an actor who starred in the Rocky, and Rambo film series’, and now sells his own paintings. Stallone reportedly only fetches an average of $1,500 to $3,500 per painting at auction. See some examples of Sylvester Stallone’s art below…

The gallery was hosted by Georges Bergès, who runs the Georges Bergès Gallery located in New York City. In addition to being in charge of Hunter’s 2021 art gallery, Bergès was also tasked with working with the White House Counsel’s Office to prevent any collusion between the White House, and potential Hunter Biden art clients, in a public display to prevent the allegation that any transaction involving Hunter’s art deal had zero implications on the Biden White House.

In addition to hosting Hunter Biden’s New York art gallery in 2021, Georges Bergès also purchased several of Hunter Biden’s paintings himself. Records from the campaign finance database show that Bergès donated to former President Donald Trump, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and former President Barack Obama, highlighting a questionably opaque background for the art gallery owner. See evidence of Bergès’ donations to Trump, Obama, and Clinton below…

We thought it would be worth taking a look at who has purchased Hunter Biden’s art recently, and to also examine their connections to the President’s son to get a better idea as to how Hunter, with limited experience in the industry, has yielded such great financial success in art.

Kevin Morris, Hollywood Attorney, Friend Of Hunter Biden

Kevin Morris, an attorney who represents the creators of the hit television show South Park, has been a friend of Hunter Biden’s for some time now. The New York Times reported just three days ago that Morris is facing heat from the House Republicans currently conducting an investigation into Hunter Biden’s associations, and business dealings.

Morris has footed the bill for Hunter Biden’s back taxes, car payments, and his artwork. Morris has reportedly loaned Hunter Biden over $6.5 Million. Showing his dedication to his friend Hunter Biden, Kevin Morris also reportedly purchased 11 of Hunter Biden’s paintings for an astounding $875,000. In a closed door meeting with House Republicans over his associations with Hunter Biden, Kevin Morris defended his friend Hunter Biden, telling Representatives that he simply likes the artwork.

“I really like Hunter’s art. And, you know, of course, he gets pilloried for it and, you know, all kinds of things said to him. The art is, in my view as an art collector, very good.” – Kevin Morris to House Republicans on Hunter Biden’s Artwork

Morris could be described as a connoisseur of fine-art collecting.

In life, when we find ourselves with our backs to the wall, having a friend like Kevin Morris is all that we can ask for. Morris has routinely showed his loyalty to Hunter Biden, even appearing in the House of Representatives with Hunter Biden when he was summoned to appear before the House.

Elizabeth Naftali, Commercial Real Estate, Founder Of Israeli Company BIG Shopping Centers Ltd

Elizabeth Hirsch Naftali purchased two of Hunter Biden’s painting, as reported by the New York Times, for a total of $94,000. Naftali reportedly paid $42,000 for one painting, and $52,000 for another. Naftali is an extremely accomplished businesswoman with an impressive resume the includes owning her own commercial real estate company in the Los Angeles area of California, and also founding the Israeli company BIG Shopping Centers LTD, which is a publicly traded company on the Tel-Aviv stock exchange.

In addition to being an accomplished businesswoman, Naftali is also active on the national political scene, giving her hard-earned money on candidates that promote causes that she believes in. Naftali’s political activity translated to a serious position during the summer of 2022, when President Biden, who Naftali has made over $236,000 in donations to Biden’s campaign since his announcement for President, appointed Naftali to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad. See some of Naftali’s contributions to Biden’s 2020, and 2024 Presidential campaigns courtesy of the Federal Election Commision’s public campaign finance database below…

In a posted statement on Hunter Biden’s art dealings, the House Oversight Committee asserted that Naftali was uninterested in purchasing Hunter Biden’s art in 2020, before Joe Biden had become President. They allege that Naftali took a sudden interest to purchasing Biden’s art after Joe Biden had been sworn in as President. The statements points out that Naftali’s first purchase of Hunter Biden’s art occurred in February of 2021, just one month after President Joe Biden’s inauguration.

It alleges that the second purchase was made in December of 2022, just months after Naftali had been appointed to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad. The full bullet point about Naftali from that statement put out by the House Oversight Committee on January 9th, 2024 can be read below…

“In 2020, Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali did not buy Hunter Biden’s art despite Georges Bergès best efforts. Within two months of Joe Biden becoming President, in February 2021, Ms. Naftali purchased her first piece of Hunter Biden’s artwork for $42,000. Then in July 2022, President Biden announced Ms. Naftali’s appointment to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad – the same commission that Biden family associate, Eric Schwerin, was appointed to during the Obama-Biden Administration. In December 2022, Hirsh Naftali purchased more of Hunter Biden’s art for $52,000.” – House Oversight Committee Statement on Elizabeth Naftali

It should be noted that this statement also alleges that Georges Bergès, who we reported on earlier in this article, spoke with President Joe Biden in person, and over the phone.

William Jacques, Part-Owner of the Georges Bergès Gallery

William Jacques is a part-owner of the Georges Bergès Gallery, the same gallery that hosted the Hunter Biden gallery, “The Journey Home,” purchased four pieces of Biden’s art for a total of $122,500. This figure comes out to $30,625 per painting, still making Biden’s painting considerably more valuable than comparable paintings.

William Jacques is a founding partner of Martingale, a manager of equity portfolios. The company was founded in 1987. He attended Wharton School, and graduated as cum laude of Lafayette College with a B.A. in mathematics and economics.

Hunter Biden has been able to achieve tremendous success in the field of art, and he should be commended for it, but it should also be public information who purchased his paintings, as some buyers have chosen to remain in anonymity.
