Beats360 Is Beats' New $350 Flagship Over-Ear With Swappable Cushions And Water Resistance
Beats unveiled the Beats 360 Tuesday, its first-ever customizable over-ear headphone and the brand's new flagship at $349.99. It ships Thursday and is available to order now at apple.com.
The headline feature is exactly what the name implies: customization. For the first time from Beats, users can swap out both ear cushions and headband cushions to mix colors and materials.
Cushion Kits come in Performance Knit, breathable, gym-friendly, across six colors including Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, Navy and Volt, and in UltraPlush in Black and Cloud. Introductory pricing puts cushion kits at $9.99 through October 31. After that they are $49.99.
The Beats 360 is also the first over-ear Beats headphone with IPX4 water and sweat resistance, a notable omission from predecessors like the Studio Pro and Solo 4 that were pervasive at gyms despite having no protection rating.
Active noise cancellation is 1.75x stronger than the Studio Pro, battery life is 32 hours with ANC on and 24 in Transparency mode and the acoustic system is the most advanced Beats has shipped.
Coinciding with the launch, Beats Studio Pro drops to $299.99.
