Corwin, In Brief
Celeste Katz at the New York Daily News published this lovely item on her blog Wednesday: Apparently someone has created a false Twitter account for Assemblywoman Jane Corwin, the Republican and Conservative candidate for the vacant 26th District Congressional seat.
The account name is HeiressJCorwin, who Tweets:
I’ve spent 50 years equating inheritance with business experience and will strive to make this country great for those who made there fortunes the easy way.
When Katz noted the misuse of “there,” the faux Corwin responded:
My misuse of there/their explains my foundations propensity to favor private schools over those in district #NY26.
As of press time, HeiressJCorwin had four followers and was following 30 other Twitterers, including Congressman Brian Higgins, Erie County Comptroller Mark Poloncarz, an assortment of political writers and media outlets, and Corwin herself.
