Yellow Swans

Buffalo’s Soundlab could be dubbed “your home for psychedelic noise,” with its dedication to bringing weirder and more experimental artists every week. The Portland, Oregon duo Yellow Swans is yet another case in point, as they are renowned for making each live performance unique with a “constantly evolving mass of psychedelic noise” (their words) created through the use of vocals, drum machine, guitar, electronics and feedback. Yellow Swans’ latest studio release, Psychic Secession (Load Records) features Jackson Pollock meets Rorschach cover art and subversive USBM (black metal) distortion techniques. The show starts at 9pm on Friday (Oct. 26) with string drone three-piece Entente Cordiale.
