Clavicular Charged With Rape And Drugging A Minor In Massachusetts
Braden Eric Peters, the 20-year-old online influencer known as Clavicular who popularized the "looksmaxxing" subculture, a movement focused on aggressively optimizing male physical appearance, was charged September 8 in Orleans District Court on Cape Cod with one felony count of rape, one felony count of drugging a person for sexual intercourse and one misdemeanor count of providing alcohol to someone under 21.
His arraignment is scheduled for October 14. He has not been arrested. His representative says he has not been physically served and called The Bulwark's reporting an exaggeration.
The charges appear to stem from an alleged incident on May 23, 2025, at his family's Cape Cod home, and are connected to a Florida civil lawsuit filed in April by influencer Aleksandra Mendoza, known as Alorah Ziva.
Mendoza's lawsuit alleges Peters invited her to the property when she was 16, gave her alcohol and sexually assaulted her on two separate occasions that night. Peters has denied the civil claims through his attorney, who called the allegations unproven.
The criminal charges were filed by Massachusetts prosecutors independently after a judge found probable cause. A rape conviction carries a potential 20-year sentence. Either a rape or drugging conviction would require registration as a sex offender.
He has not been convicted of any crime and is presumed innocent.
