Doordash Driver Shooter, Who Killed Delivery Man, Gets 4 to 10 Years IN Prison
Keilan McKeever, 33, of Richlandtown, Pennsylvania was sentenced Tuesday to four to ten years in state prison, closing a case that shocked Bucks County and left a young delivery driver permanently shaken.
On the night of March 22, 2025, college student Khalik Lewis, then 19, completed a DoorDash delivery at McKeever's home on Cherry Street. McKeever came out screaming that the order was late. Lewis tried to explain and walk back to his car.
McKeever followed him, raised a 9mm handgun as Lewis began to drive away and fired. The bullet tore through the rear windshield of Lewis's Honda Civic and sent glass and metal fragments through the vehicle. Lewis sped off not knowing what had happened, only later discovering a bullet lodged in the hood of his sweatshirt.
McKeever pleaded guilty in June to two counts of aggravated assault and related charges. Prosecutors dropped an attempted murder charge in exchange. Common Pleas Judge Steven Corr called the case "disgusting" and said he had been prepared to sentence McKeever to longer.
McKeever's statement of contrition and documented self-improvement behind bars moved the judge toward leniency. Lewis's mother was not satisfied. "I don't feel justice has been done at all," she said after the hearing.
McKeever was also ordered to pay $2,288 in restitution and undergo a mental health evaluation.
