Noel Clarke Charged With Six Sexual Offenses Involving Five Women

Noel Clarke, 50, the British actor and filmmaker best known for playing Mickey Smith in Doctor Who and for writing and starring in the acclaimed 2006 film Kidulthood, has been charged with six sexual offenses following a Metropolitan Police investigation that began in September 2025.

The Crown Prosecution Service announced the charges, which include two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure. The alleged offenses involve five women and are said to have taken place between 2007 and 2016.

Clarke is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on October 21. He has not yet entered a plea. The CPS reminded the public that legal proceedings are active and that Clarke has the right to a fair trial, urging that no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online prejudice those proceedings.

Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor Bethan David said prosecutors had established sufficient evidence to bring the case to court and that it was in the public interest to proceed. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the women connected to the charges are receiving support from specially trained officers.

Clarke rose to prominence as an actor in Doctor Who before becoming one of British cinema's most celebrated filmmakers. He was awarded a BAFTA Fellowship in 2021, an honor the organization suspended hours after the Guardian published a report from 20 women alleging sexual misconduct.
