Zay Flowers Leaves Ravens Win With Hamstring Injury

The Baltimore Ravens beat the Indianapolis Colts 41-23 in Week 1, and lost their top two wide receivers in the process. Zay Flowers was the best player on the field in the first half, hauling in five catches for 150 yards and a touchdown on his way to what was shaping up as a career game.

Then he limped to the sideline with a hamstring injury before halftime and never came back. He was ruled out early in the fourth quarter.

Rookie Ja'Kobi Lane, the Ravens' third-round pick from USC making his NFL debut, also exited with a wrist injury in the first half. He had one catch for 11 yards before leaving.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported the initial diagnosis is a fractured wrist, with an MRI scheduled Monday to determine severity.

The Ravens lost both receivers and still won by 18. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry carried the offense. Chris Moore, activated the morning of the game, had 174 all-purpose yards in a career performance that coach Jesse Minter called a "major shout out" moment.

Flowers has dealt with hamstring issues throughout training camp and the severity of Sunday's setback is unknown heading into Week 2. "We'll have to see what we got to do to get that room ready for next week," Minter said.
