The New York Times reported — Senate Republicans, who have promised a repeal of the Affordable Care Act for seven years, took a major step on Thursday toward that goal, unveiling a bill to make deep cuts in Medicaid and end the law’s mandate that most Americans have health insurance.
I see in this morning’s news that the Paterno family is claiming the Freeh report is “fiction, not fact” and want to produce a report of their own to absolve the Coach and restore the now tarnished image. Not surprising but yet a clear defiant and denial of the facts apparent to all.

Joseph Smith was a remarkable man, he started out as a treasure finder. He had a magic rock that when put into a hat reflected the location of treasure. Things were not going well until he had a vision, an angel directed him to buried gold plates and silver spectacles with lenses made of “seer stones” that just happened to be buried in a hill behind his house. The angel, of course directed him not to show these treasures to anyone. When pressed by skeptics to produce the gold plates Smith explained the angel had returned and took them back.
This could explain why Romney won’t release his tax returns, possibly an angel took them back or he forgot where he buried them and his “seer stone” isn’t working.

You forgot to mention the most important part, alas, that all of this took place just down the road in Palmyra, NY.
Mormonism, is, for all of its make-believe and flaws, a truly American religion. You can’t take that away from it (though you can take just about everything else away).
Recommend Jon Krakauer’s “Under the Banner of Heaven” for a really good look at Mormonism, warts and all.
