Jonathan Taylor Records 132 Yards And Two TDs Against The Chiefs
Jonathan Taylor gave the Colts everything they needed to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas City on Sunday night, 24 carries for 92 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, four catches for 40 yards, 132 scrimmage yards total and a performance that had Indianapolis leading in the fourth quarter.
His second touchdown, a five-yard run that tied the game at 27-27 with time winding down, forced overtime.
In overtime the Colts moved the ball into Chiefs territory on a 48-yard Daniel Jones strike to Laquon Treadwell, but Taylor's two carries on the subsequent possession netted negative-three yards combined, forcing Indianapolis to kick a field goal instead of punch it in. Patrick Mahomes needed just one possession to answer. Chiefs win 33-30. Colts fall to 0-2.
Taylor has scored four touchdowns in two games and is through 253 total scrimmage yards — the best start of his career from a touchdown standpoint. He led the NFL with 18 rushing touchdowns in 2025.
He is doing the same things in 2026. The Colts are 0-2 doing them. Daniel Jones struggled again Sunday, the offense lives and dies with Taylor and it showed.
Week 3 brings the Houston Texans to Indianapolis. Houston's run defense is among the league's stiffest.
